Wayne Ash passed away after a short illness, surrounded by the love and support of his devoted family, leaving behind a legacy of integrity, leadership, and compassion that will never be forgotten.
Born on June 30, 1951, to parents Dorothy (Heale) Ash and Hubert Ash, Wayne lived a life defined by dedication to both his family and career. A respected Professional Engineer (P.Eng.), Wayne served as the General Manager of Newdock at the time of his passing. Throughout his career, he earned admiration for his exceptional work ethic, professionalism, and ability to inspire those around him.
Wayne was more than a successful leader — he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 33 years, Janet Clarke Ash, who was not only his life partner but also his cherished travel companion and golf partner. He also leaves behind his beloved sister Dianne; children Amy, Kristian (Lisa Kavanagh), and Matthew Rumboldt (Britt Oates); as well as treasured granddaughters Keely Haley, Rory Haley, and Kensley Rumboldt. He will also be deeply missed by Ashley Marston and countless extended family members and friends.
Known for his kindness, wisdom, and calm presence, Wayne shaped the lives of many through his mentorship and generosity. Those who knew him remember a man who led by example and treated everyone with respect and compassion.
