Texas Shooting Spree Live Update: 2 Teen Suspects Arrested, Third Suspect Still Sought After Multiple Shootings Injure Four

Texas, USA: Authorities in Austin, Texas, continue to investigate a violent weekend crime spree that left at least four people injured and resulted in multiple shootings, vehicle thefts, and gun-related incidents across the city. Police confirmed Sunday that two teenage suspects have been arrested, while a third suspect remains on the run.

According to officials, the incidents unfolded over Saturday and Sunday and included approximately 12 separate shootings throughout Austin, including at least two incidents involving local fire stations. The alarming series of crimes prompted a massive law enforcement response involving several agencies across Central Texas.

The investigation intensified after Austin police issued a “Be on the Lookout” alert for a white Kia believed to be connected to the suspects. Shortly afterward, officers with the Manor Police Department spotted the vehicle in Manor, according to Police Chief Ryan Phipps.

Officers attempted a traffic stop, but the suspects fled, leading police on a pursuit through Old Town Manor, along U.S. Highway 290, and eventually toward FM 973. Authorities said the chase ended when the driver attempted to escape across a grassy field, causing the vehicle to crash.

Following the crash, all three suspects reportedly fled on foot. Two teenagers were later taken into custody, while police continue searching for the third suspect. As of Sunday evening, a shelter-in-place order remained active in parts of Manor while officers searched nearby neighborhoods, drainage areas, sheds, and other possible hiding spots.

Chief Phipps stated investigators are considering all possibilities regarding the suspect’s whereabouts, including the chance that the individual may have already left the area.

Residents have been urged to remain cautious, follow police instructions, and report any suspicious activity as the investigation continues. Authorities have not yet released the identities of the arrested teens or the outstanding suspect.
