Oaklynn Rae Domer Accident Memorial: The rodeo community continues to come together in loving memory of Oaklynn Rae Domer, the beloved 3-year-old whose passing on Thursday has touched hearts across the industry. Family, friends, competitors, and supporters are honoring Oaklynn’s beautiful spirit by surrounding her parents, especially her mother Kelsie Chace-Domer, with overwhelming love, prayers, and support.
At recent rodeo events, contestants proudly wore pink to celebrate Oaklynn’s memory, creating an emotional tribute that reflected the unity and compassion of the rodeo family. Nearly every competitor entering the arena wore some form of pink in her honor, a gesture deeply appreciated by the Domer family. More than 180 competitors participated, showing that the rodeo world stands together during times of heartbreak.
Special thanks were also extended to FLAIR Equine Nasal Strips and Darian Raupers for sponsoring pink nasal strips used during the tribute event. Fundraising efforts, including raffle ticket sales and a 50-50 draw, were organized to continue supporting the family while keeping Oaklynn’s memory alive.
One of the most touching moments came during the Premier Women’s Rodeo Championship in Fort Worth, where the inaugural Oaklynn Rae Domer Award was presented. The special honor recognized the youngest cowgirl entered in the competition and was personally awarded by Kelsie Domer herself.
Though Oaklynn’s life was tragically short, her memory continues to inspire kindness, unity, and love throughout the rodeo community. Her spirit will forever ride alongside the countless cowgirls, cowboys, and families whose lives she touched so deeply.
