As a gifted guitarist, John spent over three decades performing with Billy and the Bruisers and also played in the early band 12 Gauge. His influence extended beyond the stage through his entrepreneurial work as the owner of Hutton’s Music, with locations across St. John’s, and as the creator of newfoundlandmusic.com, one of the first digital platforms supporting local artists.
