Joe Rogan Suicide: Theo Von is shutting down concerns raised by Joe Rogan

Comedian and podcast personality Theo Von is responding to recent concerns raised by longtime friend Joe Rogan regarding his mental health and comments about suicide.

The discussion began during an episode of the popular podcast The Joe Rogan Experience, where Rogan opened up about worries surrounding Von’s recent behavior and his reported use of SSRIs, or Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors. Rogan admitted that some of Von’s comments about suicide had “freaked” him out, especially after the comedian began taking antidepressant medication.

Von quickly addressed the claims publicly, dismissing many of the concerns and assuring fans that he is doing well despite life’s natural ups and downs.

“This is mostly cap. Sad to see this kinda stuff,” Von said. “I’m doing great. I’m a human being, which is a rocky ride. But I’m doing fine thanks.”

During the podcast episode, Rogan referenced past moments where Von had openly discussed suicidal thoughts in public and on stage. He also mentioned an unreleased Netflix comedy taping that reportedly struggled to connect with audiences. According to Rogan, Von allegedly told the crowd during the performance, “I’m trying not to take my own life.”

Rogan further claimed that Von sometimes spirals into heavy conversations about world events and mental health. The UFC commentator also shared controversial opinions about antidepressants, arguing that the idea of chemical imbalances is “not real” and alleging that SSRIs simply “numb people.”

Despite the speculation, Von’s response appeared aimed at reassuring supporters that he remains stable and focused. The comedian and Rogan have maintained a close friendship for years through stand-up comedy, podcast appearances, and collaborations that have built strong fan followings online.
