Omagh, UK: The A32 Clanabogan Road between Omagh and Dromore has now fully reopened to traffic following an earlier road traffic collision that caused significant disruption throughout the morning.
The road had been closed at Lammy Junction in Omagh after emergency services were called to the scene of the crash. Police from the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI), along with other emergency responders, attended the area shortly after the incident was reported.
Motorists were initially advised to avoid the route and use alternative roads while authorities worked to secure the scene and manage traffic diversions. The closure led to delays for commuters travelling between Omagh, Dromore, and surrounding areas during peak morning hours.
A PSNI spokesperson later confirmed that the Clanabogan/Dromore Road had been reopened after the scene was cleared and deemed safe for normal traffic flow to resume. The reopening came after several hours of coordinated emergency response efforts.
Officials have stated that a full press release and witness appeal relating to the collision will be issued in due course as investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Authorities also expressed their appreciation to road users for their patience and cooperation during the disruption. “Thank you for your patience and understanding during the closure period,” a police spokesperson said.
At this time, no further details regarding those involved in the collision or the extent of any injuries have been released publicly.
The reopening of the A32 Clanabogan Road restores normal traffic flow between Omagh and Dromore, though motorists are still encouraged to remain cautious while travelling through the area as investigations continue.
